Camping at our Nature Retreat

Join us for a chat and a coffee or tea, oatmeal and fresh fruit in the morning on the porch of our home.

Bring your hiking shoes, bicycles or motor bikes, your RVs, tents and hammocks or stay in one of our rustic, home built camping log cabins or in our Lakota style tipi.

From May through September,  Jack and I open our home place  to a limited number of  camping guests.

You can book your camping site online through Airbnb.com or contact us via this page.

Plenty Star Retreat is a peaceful 10 acre place, surrounded by National Forest, with ponds and creeks, as well as many huge willow and pine trees, just a few miles South of Custer, in the Southern Black Hills, of South Dakota.

From its location along Hwy 385, and the Mickelson Trail, both, Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park, as well as all the other Black Hills attractions, such as Mt. Rushmore,  Crazy Horse Monument and Devil’s Tower, are within short driving distances.

The surrounding area offers numerous hiking trails and lakes. Smaller towns like Custer, 10 miles North or Hot Springs, 24 miles South, offer a variety of interesting shops and some really good restaurants.

Enjoy watching the local wildlife frequently visiting or place, sit around the campfires in the evenings.

You will have access to fast WiFi everywhere throughout the camping area, but are also more than welcome to use the electric outlets and seating options on our porch during the day as long as there is not an event going on you are not participating in.

Also check out Isa’s other offerings such as Essential Touch treatments, intuitive Tarot Readings, scheduled seminars or group events etc..

No smoking allowed anywhere on the property.

No pets whatsoever allowed in our cabins and other buildings. Dogs are allowed at the other camp sites, but  are to stay on a leash at all times.

Note: Unfortunately our guest restroom and the new shower cabin at the garage as well as our solar shower building and both cabins  are not very suitable for wheelchair users.

However – the new covered patio and porch areas are wheelchair accessible and so is our home !
